Cookie Policy

On This Page
This cookie policy explains how Maven X LLC (“Maven X,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) uses cookies and similar technologies on our website at https://mavenx.co (the “Site”). The short version: the Site does not set cookies of its own, apart from a short-lived security cookie that our hosting provider may set if it has to check a suspicious request, and it has no advertising or social media trackers.
What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website saves in your browser. Similar technologies, such as local storage and tracking pixels, can store or read information in the same way. Websites use them to remember settings, keep people signed in, measure visits or follow people across other websites for advertising.
Cookies on Our Site
The Site does not set cookies of its own, apart from a short-lived security cookie that our hosting provider may set if it has to check a suspicious request. The Site's code does not use local storage, session storage or tracking pixels. There is no sign-in, shopping cart or saved preference that needs them, so you will not see a cookie banner.
| Technology | Purpose | Cookies or storage |
|---|---|---|
| Vercel Web Analytics | Counts page views and shows which pages are useful | None. According to Vercel, visitors are identified by a hash of the incoming request, and that visitor session is discarded after 24 hours. Our Privacy Policy lists the data it records. |
| Site fonts | Display the Site's typeface | None. Fonts are served from our own domain, not from Google. |
| Images and videos | Show the Site's images and background videos, mostly from our media servers and, in a few blog posts, from other websites | None set by the Site. Our media provider's security system may, rarely, set a short-lived security cookie on its own domain. The other websites that host blog images receive your IP address and browser details, as described in our Privacy Policy. |
| Bunny.net video player | Plays an explainer video on some pages | Loaded only after you press play. From then on, Bunny.net may use its own technologies under its own privacy policy. |
| Hosting security | Protects the Site from attacks and abuse | Normally none. If our hosting provider has to check a suspicious request, it may set a short-lived, strictly necessary security cookie to remember that your browser passed the check. |
We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not allow third parties to place advertising or tracking cookies through the Site.
Links to Other Websites
The Site links to other websites, such as YouTube, LinkedIn, Instagram and Facebook. These are plain links, not embedded content, so those companies do not set cookies through the Site. Once you follow a link, the other website's own cookie and privacy policies apply.
How Can You Control Cookies?
Most browsers let you see, block and delete cookies in their settings. Because the Site does not rely on cookies, blocking them will not stop it from working. Your browser's help pages explain how to change these settings.
Changes to This Policy
If we add a technology that uses cookies or similar storage, we will update this policy before or when we start using it. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last updated.
