Privacy Policy

On This Page
This privacy policy explains what personal information Maven X LLC (“Maven X,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects through our website at https://mavenx.co (the “Site”), how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It also covers information you send us directly by email or phone about our services.
We keep this short on purpose. The Site is a business website: it describes our services and lets you contact us. It has no accounts, no logins, no online store and no payments. If you have a question about anything here, email us at contact@mavenx.co.
1. Information We Collect
Information You Give Us
Inquiry and contact forms. When you send an inquiry or contact form on the Site, we collect what you type into it:
- your name and email address (required)
- your phone number and company name (optional)
- your city, state and industry (required on the service inquiry forms)
- the services, packages, add-ons or other options you select
- your message
Referral form. When you refer someone to us through the referral form, we collect your name and email address, plus the name, phone number, email address and company name of the person you are referring, and any details you add. The Site does not automatically email or otherwise tell the person you refer. Only refer someone who knows you are sharing their details with us. Your details and theirs are kept in our business mailbox and in our email delivery provider's logs, as described in sections 3 and 6.
Email and phone. If you email or call us directly, we receive whatever you choose to share, such as your name, contact details and the content of your message.
Please do not send sensitive information (such as health, financial account or government ID details) through the Site's forms, and please do not send confidential business or security details before we have a confidentiality agreement in place.
Information Collected Automatically
Website analytics. We use Vercel Web Analytics to count page views and understand which pages are useful. It does not use cookies. According to Vercel, visitors are identified by a hash created from the incoming request, and that visitor session is discarded after 24 hours. For each page view it records the page address (including any query parameters), the referring website, approximate location (country, region and city), browser, operating system, device type, a device identifier and the time of the visit. This information is processed by Vercel, which provides the analytics as aggregated statistics about the Site, and we do not use it to identify you.
Security and service logs. Like any website, our hosting provider receives your IP address and browser details when you load a page, and Vercel, as our host, keeps request and server logs that record your IP address, browser details, the page address and the referring page. To protect our forms from abuse, the Site uses your IP address to limit how often forms can be sent, and uses the email address you enter to limit how many confirmation emails one address can receive. These records are kept in temporary memory for short periods and cleared automatically; they are not written to a database. Our hosting provider's firewall also limits how many form requests one IP address can send in a short time. Our own application logs record that a form was sent, received or rejected, but not your name, email address or message.
Images and videos. Most images and videos on the Site are delivered from files.mavenx.co, which is served through Cloudflare from storage at Amazon Web Services (Amazon S3 and CloudFront), and from mavenx.b-cdn.net, run by Bunny.net. A few blog posts show images loaded directly from other websites: coghillcartooning.com, i.pinimg.com (Pinterest) and www.gstatic.com (Google). When a page shows any of these images, your browser contacts the server that hosts it, which receives your IP address, browser details and the fact that you came from mavenx.co.
Information From Other Sources
We do not buy personal information, and we do not obtain it from third-party lists, lead databases or data brokers. If someone refers you to us, we receive your details from them as described above.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information described above to:
- Reply to you. We read your inquiry, contact request or referral and reply by email or phone. When you send a form, we also send you a confirmation email so you know it arrived.
- Provide our services. If you become a client, we use your contact details to plan and deliver the work you ask for, under our separate agreement with you.
- Follow up on referrals. We may contact the person you referred once, by a personal email that says who referred them, and keep a note of who referred them. If they ask us to, we will delete their details.
- Keep the Site working and secure. We use rate limits, spam checks and logs to stop abuse and to find and fix problems.
- Improve the Site. We use analytics to see which pages are visited and where visitors come from.
- Meet legal obligations. We may use or keep information when the law requires it, to respond to lawful requests, or to protect our rights.
We do not use your information for targeted advertising.
Confirmation emails. When you open the confirmation email, your email app may load the Maven X logo from files.mavenx.co and social media icons from mavenx.co. Those servers then see your IP address and when the images were loaded, unless your email app blocks or proxies images. Our emails are sent without tracking pixels or click-tracking links.
Marketing emails. We do not send marketing emails or newsletters. If we start, we will ask first or rely only on what the law permits, and every email will include an unsubscribe link.
Testimonials, logos and portfolio work. Client testimonials, names, photos, logos and portfolio work appear on the Site with the client's permission, and we remove them on request.
3. Who We Share Your Information With
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share it with the service providers below, who process it on our behalf, and in the other situations listed after the table.
| Provider | What they do for us |
|---|---|
| Vercel | Hosts the Site, runs the forms and their firewall, keeps request and server logs and provides Vercel Web Analytics |
| Resend | Delivers form submissions to our inbox and sends your confirmation email, and keeps a copy of each sent message for about 30 days |
| Google Workspace | Hosts our business email, where form submissions and your emails are received and kept |
| Amazon Web Services | Stores and delivers the images and videos served from files.mavenx.co |
| Cloudflare | Provides our domain name service and delivers media from files.mavenx.co |
| Bunny.net | Delivers some images and plays explainer videos (only when you press play) |
The websites that host images shown in a few blog posts (named in section 1) are not our service providers. They receive your IP address and browser details directly from your browser and handle them under their own privacy policies.
We may also share information:
- With our team and contractors who need it to respond to you or deliver our services, under confidentiality obligations.
- With our professional advisers, such as accountants, lawyers and insurers.
- For legal reasons, if we believe in good faith that the law, a court order or a lawful request requires it, or to protect the rights, property or safety of Maven X, our clients or others.
- In a business transfer, if Maven X is involved in a merger, sale of assets, financing or acquisition, in which case the information may be transferred as part of that deal.
- With your consent, for any other purpose you agree to.
4. Cookies and Similar Technologies
The Site does not set cookies or use browser storage for tracking, and it has no advertising or social media trackers. It does not set cookies of its own, apart from a short-lived security cookie that our hosting provider may set if it has to check a suspicious request. For details, see our Cookie Policy: https://mavenx.co/cookie-policy.
5. Third-Party Websites and Videos
The Site links to other websites, such as our YouTube, LinkedIn, Instagram and Facebook pages and sites mentioned in our blog posts and portfolio. YouTube videos are linked, not embedded, so YouTube receives nothing from you unless you click through. Some pages offer a short explainer video from Bunny.net. The video player is loaded only after you press play; at that point Bunny.net receives your IP address and browser details and handles them under its own privacy policy. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of other websites, so please read their policies.
6. How Long We Keep Your Information
We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes in this policy, unless the law requires or allows us to keep it longer (for example, for tax or accounting records).
- Form submissions and emails are kept in our business email while a business relationship with you may continue, and we may keep them indefinitely. You can ask us to delete them at any time (see section 9), unless we need to keep them for legal or accounting reasons.
- Copies of sent emails are kept by our email delivery provider: Resend keeps a copy of each sent email for about 30 days under its current plan.
- Rate-limit records are kept in temporary memory for short periods and cleared automatically.
- Analytics and request and server logs are kept by Vercel under its own retention settings.
When we no longer need information, we delete it or keep it in a form that no longer identifies you.
7. How We Keep Your Information Safe
The Site is served only over encrypted HTTPS connections and uses standard browser security protections. Form submissions are sent to our email and are not stored in a separate website database, although our email delivery provider keeps copies as described in section 6. Access to our email, hosting and analytics accounts is limited to the team members who need it, and those accounts are protected with two-step verification.
No website or email system can be guaranteed to be 100% secure, so we cannot promise that your information will never be accessed, disclosed or changed without authorization. Sending information to us over the internet is at your own risk.
8. Children's Information
The Site is meant for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us at contact@mavenx.co and we will delete it.
9. Your Choices and Rights
You can ask us to:
- tell you what personal information we hold about you
- correct information that is wrong or out of date
- delete your information
- stop contacting you
To make a request, email contact@mavenx.co or use our contact page at https://mavenx.co/contact. We may need to confirm your identity before acting on a request, and we will use any information you give us for that only to verify you. We aim to respond within 45 days. If we decline your request, you can ask us to reconsider by replying to our response. We may keep some information where the law requires it or where we need it to resolve disputes or enforce our agreements. We will not treat you differently for making a request.
Depending on where you live, privacy laws may give you additional rights. If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland and believe we are handling your information unlawfully, you can complain to your local data protection authority.
You can also choose not to send us a form at all and call or email us instead.
10. Information for California and Other U.S. State Residents
Some U.S. state privacy laws may not apply to a business of our size. We describe our practices here for transparency and will honor the requests in section 9 wherever you live.
This section describes the current Site, which went live on October 8, 2026. Since then, through the Site and our inquiry forms, we have collected these categories of personal information, from the sources and for the purposes described above:
- Identifiers and contact details, such as name, email address, phone number and IP address
- Professional information, such as company name and industry
- Internet activity, such as pages visited, referring websites, and browser and device details
- Approximate location, such as the city and state you enter, and the country, region and city inferred by our analytics
Before that date, our previous website also used analytics, marketing, payment and learning tools. We deleted that data or closed those accounts when the current Site went live, except where the law or our accounting records required us to keep it. Our previous privacy policy is available on request.
We have not sold personal information, and we have not shared it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not ask for or use sensitive personal information.
California residents may also ask, once a year and free of charge, whether we disclosed personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes. We do not do this. To exercise any right described in this policy, or to use an authorized agent, contact us as described below. We may ask an authorized agent for proof of authorization.
11. Do-Not-Track and Global Privacy Control
Some browsers send a Do-Not-Track or Global Privacy Control signal. The Site does not track you across other websites or sell or share your information for advertising, so these signals do not change how the Site works.
12. Where Your Information Is Processed
Maven X is based in the United States. The Site is served from our hosting provider's global network, and our service providers may process your information in the United States and in other countries where they operate. If you use the Site from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States and those other countries.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy when our practices change. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last updated. If we make significant changes, we will make that clear on this page. Previous versions of this policy are available on request.
14. Contact Us
If you have questions about this policy or your information, contact Maven X LLC by email at contact@mavenx.co or by phone at (415) 529-6689.
